This is NOT a lizard, it is a "proto-lizard", it evolved some 250 million years ago, before lizards and dinosaurs arrived on the planet. It exists in captivity, and in small populations on predator free off-shore islands. The oldest specimen is known to be over 120 years old, they don't know what the actual life span could be.
